Woodville Primary School

School's motto - Where this is learning in the air

Remote Education

Remote Education Provision

  • In the event that whole classes of children are unable to attend school, we would offer remote learning through Microsoft Teams or work assigned on Class Dojo.
  • The learning would take the form of live lessons, recorded lessons, PowerPoints, tasks and activities. Teachers are given autonomy to decide the form that each lesson will take depending on the content of the lesson itself and their own learners.
  • Children may be expected to complete tasks for some lessons and then upload these to Microsoft Teams or their Class Dojo page to be marked by their teacher.
  • Throughout previous lockdowns, children across the school were taught 5 English and Maths lessons a week through Microsoft Teams, alongside a number of Foundation subject lessons.
  • Children in EYFS and Year 1 were also taught phonics daily using the same platforms.

  • In the event that individual children are unable to attend school, we would offer work assigned on Class Dojo or paper copies of work provided - to be collected from school from a parent/carer (if circumstances allow).
