Day 4

The last day began after a fantastic nights sleep. We woke up and packed our bags before having a delicious breakfast of bacon, hash browns, mushrooms, veggi sausage, cereals, toast and yoghurt. Once we had fueled up, it was time to start our last two activities of our residential. Today children took part in trapeze, challenge course, sensory trail and fencing. All of the children have set their own goals and what they hoped to achieve in their time at Bawdsey Manor. This morning, they continued to try really hard to achieve these goals. The children have encouraged and supported each other to exceed their expectations which has been lovely to see.

We had lunch of spagetti bolognaise, plain pasta, vegetable ragu, garlic bread, tomato soup and choices from the salad bar. Then it was time to say our goodbyes. The children have been really lucky to have a fantastic group leader called Brandon who they all really liked. He has looked after us so well and got to know the children's names from day one. They were very sad to say goodbye to him.

We also handed out PGL prizes for the tidiest rooms! The boy's room consisting of Caiden, Freddie, Frankie and Henley was not only the tidiest room for the whole stay but also the room who went to bed the quickest and snored the loudest! The girls were all very tidy but the prizes went to Ishani, Josie. D, Darcie and Esmae Rose who were also fantastically organised with everything, even their shoes!

Each group leader chose one person from their group who had showed some excellent bravery, encouragement of others, perseverance and a fantastically positive attitude. These could have gone to all of the children for different reasons. Well done to April, Regan, Lois, Josie M and Elsie.

We hope the children had a fantastic time and have made memories for a lifetime. We have thoroughly enjoyed the company of all of them and thank you to lending them to us for four days!
