Mr. Thomas will be setting 2 English lessons plus an optional third English lesson.

This basic timetable may be ‘tweaked’ as the week progresses to allow us to accommodate any changes required and to reflect our general understanding of the pace of work which we notice is needed as we go through day by day. This enables tasks to be 'carried over' if necessary, and for us to support you as much as possible in order to prevent potential work overload and worries about "falling behind".

If you have any questions about the work set, please tag the teacher who set the work as your point of contact on the Home Learning Facebook group, and they will get back to you ASAP.

Thank you.

This week’s D&T/STEM challenge:

See the link to the PBSkids website for a video and step by step instructions for ideas. See also, the Facebook instructions/Pic Collage posted on Monday morning. This activity is a fun exploratory challenge to do with your family members or on your own. You do NOT need to use the exact materials or complete the challenge in the exact way it is modelled in the supporting resources. We want you to explore, investigate, test, refine and re-test your challenge project each week. It’s great fun whilst learning valuable skills!

There is also a 2nd instruction video link to Pintrest for an alternative approach (if you have a balloon).

Please video your cannon/party popper in action and post it on the appropriate Facebook Group post to share with your classmates. (This will be the green background Facebook post for D&T dated Mon/Tues).

Science Instructions:

To identify the fossils from the photos, you do not need to print the photos for this task. You can bring the photos up on your device to view instead. This enables you to zoom in to see each one with more accuracy and interest and saves paper/ink too.

You may possibly choose to print the identification/label sheet (sheet 2 only) and write the corresponding photo number next to the name of the fossil type, or you may just write these as a numbered list onto any paper you have at home.

NB - Instructions for/photos of ice experiment by Miss. P, are on the Facebook Group for you to set up yourselves at home during the afternoon if you wish. If you do this experiment you will need to set aside some time tomorrow to be an archaeologist, and can post your photos under this
