Reception Letter Summer Term Week 1

Reception Letter Summer Term Week 1

Hello Children πŸ‘‹πŸ»πŸ˜€

What a great first week back at homeschool. We are really impressed that you have been so keen and busy this week πŸ‘πŸ».

We want to say well done for lots of maths work with Supertato; all the evil pea traps were amazing and lots of you got messy with jelly traps.  There was also fabulous writing work on ng and we know you are working hard on your phonics. Some of you celebrated the Queen’s birthday πŸ‘‘ by making cards and cakes, and we saw some amazing dragon art too for St. George’s day.

What good weather we are having! All the plants and flowers are growing πŸŒΈπŸŒΏ and lots of animals are out and about πŸ›πŸžπŸπŸ¦‹. Have you spotted any? We hope you are enjoying watching the tadpole diary from Mrs Guesdon’s pond. We are going to watch them grow over the weeks ahead and will be learning more about them. We hope you have a lovely weekend with your family.

Stay safe, stay home, stay amazing βοΈ

Tadpole Diary 2 πŸΈ

Hello children

I hope you enjoy this update about the tadpoles and some other nature finds from my garden. There are videos to watch so please ask your grown up to go to tapestry to enjoy this fully.

If you are using this webpage only, have a look at the photos below and talk to your grown up about them.

Here are some things you could talk about:

Can you see the tadpoles?

What do they look like?

How many can you see?

What are they doing?

Can you see anything else that is alive in the pond? Look closely! πŸ˜³

There is also a photo (video on tapestry) of a birds nest I found in the Easter holidays. The egg wasn’t in the nest though. We found that on the lawn the other day but I put it in the nest so you could see.

How busy nature is all around us if we look carefully.

I wonder what nature is happening where you live?
