On Wednesday 30th January the Year 6s took part in a Quick Sticks Hockey tournament at WDF school. The team performed amazingly well. They won all their matches and only conceded four goals and scored 26 goals. They now move into the County finals in June. An amazing achievement. As always, they were a pleasure to take out and represented the school impeccably.
Cross Country Competition
We have now received the results from the Cross Country competition which took place on Wednesday 23rd January.
All children tried their very best and were absolutely brilliant, considering the cold weather!
The following children will continue to progress into the partnership final on Wednesday 27th March at William De Ferrers- Year 3- The girls team, Sean and Nathan. Year 4- The girls team and Tom.H. Year 5- The boys and girls team. Year 6- The boys team
Thank you to all the children who have attended Cross Country club this term. The club has now finished until after the Christmas holidays.

YEAR 6 FOOTBALL
On Thursday 17th (on a very, very cold night) the year 6 boys took part in the second round of the Central Venue League. The boys were superb. They won their first match 1-0 and went on to win the remaining three matches without conceding a goal.
The football game was played at a very high level and other schools were very complimentary towards the style of football the boys played. A big congratulation to the team!
SPORTS HALL ATHLETICS FINAL
Congratulations to years 5 and 6 who took part in the sports hall athletics final held on Wednesday 12th December. A total of 8 schools were invited to Bromford Secondary school who had also won from their local area. It was a challenging competition with many different events – relay, paarlauf (pair relay running), chest push, speed bounce and javelin to name just a few. The children represented the school really well and finished in 6th place. Well done everyone and keep up the hard work next year!
On 15th November our year 5 and 6 pupils took part in a Sportshall Athletics competition. The children all tried their very best and did Woodville proud!
We came 1st and have been invited to the final on Wednesday 12th December.
On the 10th October our Girls Football team took part in a competition against schools from South Woodham Ferrers, Wickford and Billericay. The girls won 1 match, drew 1 and lost 4.
The girls played brilliantly together, well done!
Congratulations to the Year 6 boy's football team for coming 1st in the local competition on Wednesday 3rd October. The boys played brilliantly as a team and didn't concede a goal!
We will be continuing to take part in the final on Wednesday 17th October.
