This half term we will also focus on double letter words e.g. accompany, committee, exaggerate, possession

and the 'i' before 'e' rule e.g. receive, foreign, conscience

During the 2nd half of the Autumn Term, we will learn how to use 'ible/able', 'ibly/ably' endings and how to add a suffix to a word ending in 'fer'.

In the Spring Term we will be revising the words from the Year 5/6 spelling list.

In addition we will be learning words, with 'cious', 'tious' and 'xious' endings and 'ce/se' endings.

Thank you for supporting your children to learn their spellings frown

Please help your children to practise these at home in order to support their preparation for the Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling SAT in May.

We really appreciate your help!
