Don't forget the trip to The Globe tomorrow. We are leaving at 9:00 and should be home by 4:30. Don't forget your packed lunch!

Parents evening

Please double check your appointment time and date. As there is more than one date, it can be an easy thing to mistake one day for another. I am fully booked for Thursday so if you are not able to make your appointment please cancel it so it can be released for someone else.

many thanks

Over the half term, have a go at some coding using the hour of code that we have been doing in class.

google 'hour of code.' choose from beginner or moderate depending on how confident you feel.

Thank you for your patience with the online booking today, we think everything is now working fine.

It is recommended that your child accompanies you to this appointment as it is useful for them to be part of the conversation! It is about them after all.

Look forward to seeing you next week.

Parent's consultations.

You will soon be able to book an appointment to discuss how well your child has settled into year six. Please be aware that I will be offering appointments on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the week beginning the 16th October. Currently the online booking system is only showing Thursday but this will be updated. At this meeting, due to it being so new into the term, we will not be looking at work but will be discussing strengths and areas to develop as the year progresses. Please be aware that these are only ten minute slots and should you feel you need longer, I would be happy to see you on an alternative day.

I look forward to seeing you all soon,

mrs Brock

*** help needed!***

We have been invited to WDF school on Thursday afternoon for a Science show. This has all been quite last minute but we are very excited about going. We do however need a couple of parents to walk down and back with us. We will leave school at 1pm and return for the end of the school day. If you would like to come with us, please let me know by Tuesday at the latest.

Many thanks

It was lovely to see so many of you this morning for our Meet the Teacher meeting. I have attached the letter as a word document at the bottom of this page in case you didn't receive one. As mentioned by a parent this morning, if your child enjoys Coding, the Library offer a coding club on a Thursday after school. We welcome any information on clubs or other activities the children do that may interest the rest of the class!

Welcome back to year 6!

I hope you have had a wonderful summer and are excited about the new term. We have some excellent topics to learn about and I have been busy preparing lots of fun and interesting things for us to do.

Don't forget for the first day back...

  • PE kit
  • Labelled Handwriting pen.
  • Your Extreme Earth projects.

I'm looking forward to seeing you all again,

Mrs Brock

Homework update...

Each week I will be posting homework onto your MyMaths site and First News iHub for you to complete. The tasks will be linked to work we have been doing in class so you should have no problems completing them. I will be looking to see who is having a go at these so please see me if you are stuck!

Please keep learning your spelling and times tables as well as those tricky division facts. For a challenge try learning decimal multiplications and see if you can see any patterns.
